Why choose Suncraft knives?

In terms of designs, Suncraft remains largely faithful to the traditional Japanese kitchen knives of the past. Where they distinguish themselves is in the use of high-quality materials such as stabilized pakka wood, Damascus steel with a core of Japanese VG10 steel, and premium SG2 powder steel, which is one of the best types of steel for kitchen knives. It is prized for its excellent corrosion resistance and sharpness retention. The brand also plays with the concept of a Japanese kitchen knife. The Senzo Twisted Octagon series with spiral 'Wa-style' handle is a fine example of this.

Suncraft: amazing value for money

Are you looking for a kitchen knife, or several, that have a great price-quality ratio? Then Suncraft is the right brand for you! Despite the use of premium materials and sleek finishes, they manage to keep prices low. The knives are robust and feel at home in every kitchen!

Suncraft series

Suncraft Senzo Black

Those not afraid of some darkness in the kitchen will choose the Suncraft Senzo Black series. These knives feature a dark handle with the high-contrast markings of a damascus blade.

Suncraft Senzo Classic

The Suncraft Senzo Classic series will appeal to fans of classic Japanese-style knives. However, they have been lifted all the way to the 21th century with a forged, steel bolster. As a result, these knives are incredibly well-balanced.

Suncraft Senzo Twisted Octagon

The Suncraft Senzo Twisted Octagon series is a very special line of knives with octagonal, twisted handles. Very unique!

Suncraft Elegancia

The Suncraft Elegancia series is one of a kind. The blades are relatively large, and the handle is also placed quite high compared to the blade. As a result, you have quite a lot of space for your hand between the knife and the cutting board.

History of Suncraft

Suncraft was founded in 1948 in Seki City, Japan, by Kohei Kawashima. Seki is the knife capital of Japan. Here, samurai swords and other cutting tools have been made for hundreds of years. It's a city that is alive with knife culture and history. Over the years, Suncraft has continued to invest in the latest production methods, without losing sight of the rich traditions of Japanese knife making. And still, the company is run by the Kawashima family. Knivesandtools has been selling Suncraft knives since 2022.
