History of Mcusta Zanmai
Zanmai and Mcusta are closely related. These two brands are manufactured in the factory of Marusho Industry, Inc. in Seki, Japan. Seki is a town with a rich history in knife forging, dating back to the 13th century. This city is famous for its natural resources, such as iron and charcoal, and its strategic location near water, making it the ideal place for the production of fine cutting tools. The traditional techniques of old blacksmiths are still passed on, but now refined with modern technology. Marusho has been around since 1964 and has been making scissors for almost 50 years. In 2000, they started manufacturing pocket knives with Mcusta, and in 2006 they added Zanmai for kitchen knives.
