CJRB Prado pocket knife: cool knives for everyday use

The Prado is a large, classic-looking pocket knife with a modern twist. In essence, the Prado is the larger version of the CJRB Hectare. The blade is larger, other features remain the same. The Prado is designed to be an EDC knife for anyone who craves more blade length than average, and an improved grip for daily cutting tasks. Of course, it also appeals to collectors and enthusiasts, but the essence of the design is everyday use. If you're looking for a large pocket knife that outperforms its price range, the CJRB Prado is the perfect choice for you.

Features of the CJRB Prado

Despite its large size, the Prado is relatively lightweight. It weighs less than 100 g! Paired with the deep-carry pocket clip, you carry this big pocket knife with you much easier than you might think. Also, opening and closing is much easier than most pocket knives in this price range: in fact, the Prado features a thumb hole combined with ceramic ball bearings, making the blade quick and easy to open. CJRB has opted for a button lock for this model.

CJRB Prado blade

The blade of the Prado is 9.5 cm in length and 3.2 mm thick. This makes it suitable for heavier cutting tasks and more detailed work alike, while the high ‘sabre grind’ ensures a thin edge for improved cutting performance. Perfect when peeling an apple or opening a box. For the steel, CJRB often uses their own steel called AR-RPM9, a steel with a good combination of sharpness retention and corrosion resistance for the price. This steel is easy to sharpen.

CJRB Prado handle

The handle of the Prado is made of budget-friendly materials such as G10 or wood. G10 is a popular handle material that offers a good grip in practically every situation.

Expertly made in China

All CJRB knives are made in the same factory where Artisan Cutlery knives are made. Including the CJRB Prado. CJRB knives are made of high-quality materials. All CJRB knives are machined and assembled in the same way, by the same craftsmen who work on the ‘premium’ Artisan Cutlery line. As a result, you will enjoy good workmanship for the price and higher quality than you are probably used to at this price.
