Spartan Blades was founded in 2008 by Mark Carey and Curtis Iovito in North Carolina. Both founders, veterans of the US Special Forces, had over 40 years of military experience. During their service, they already developed a passion for knives, which only increased when they worked in the tactical equipment trade after their active careers. Their combined knowledge and dedication led to the creation of Spartan Blades, a brand that makes knives that meet the highest standards of quality and reliability. What started as a modest project in a small barn in Aberdeen has grown into an internationally respected name in the knife world.
