Should have bought this sooner! I´ve needed a small fixed blade for years but never gotten anything I tried to work, so I was a bit skeptical trying out the Backpacker Pro, The obvious comparison is the Esee Izula/ Izula 2. I´ve owned the 1095 original, the first stainless Izula (440C with serial number 00002), various after market sheaths and scales and now the S35V Izula, Also tried Fallkniven WM1, Small Spyderco fixed blades and others. This knife is a totally different experience! Excellent ergonomics, feels very comfortable in hand (Handle reminds me a bit of a small Strider SNG, but not blocky) Excellent finish on the blade of the Backpacker, very durable this far. Only downside is the sheath/ clip. Sheet seems high quality and great workmanship but is very shallow, with a lot of knife/ handle protruding. Very easy to access but I would have preferred something more secure. Would love for K&T to offer the option of buying the Armatus Architect Sheath as an option, I ordered one directly from Armatus and that made this knife my number one choice right now, Highly recomended.
