The blade of this champagne sabre is made from polished MA5MV steel. This is a stainless type of steel. Because it is a champagne sabre, the blade isn't sharpened. The handle is made from oxhorn. The combination of the handle and the shiny steel makes for a very elegant champagne sabre. The blade runs all the way through the handle, which is known as full-tang construction.
