Full description
The Naniwa Leather Strop is a strop made of calf leather and intended as the last step in the sharpening process. Use the strop to make your knife even sharper and to give your knife edge a mirror finish. The smooth leather is glued to a piece of magnolia wood and has a rubber anti-slip layer on the underside so that your strop doesn't slip while you're stropping. Naniwa is known for its excellent Japanese sharpening stones. This strop is the perfect next step after sharpening on your Naniwa sharpening stones.

Well made and solid. The neoprene anti-slip works well and the leather is flush with the edges of the wood. Major downsides are that the leather is very smooth, feels burnished, which means it doesn't hold compound very well. The leather is also quite thick and soft, so you have to be careful not to get a rounded over apex. All in all this makes the stropp less effective than what it could have been, unless you're looking to get that very last sub 1 micron polish.
