As my Lansky deluxe diamond stone system only goes to 600 grit, it kinda call for a finer stone to give the blade that shinny finish. This one does the job. Maybe in the future I'll get the 2000 sapphire one as well.

Got one in my set and bought one more for good measure. Along with hone and paste you will get an edge to rival any sharpening system out there. It’s not perfect but with controlled technique and time learning it’s the best value and I’m well impressed. Better than the sapphire
