Fontenille Pataud Laguiole 2-piece steak knife set box wood, LTC2LB

This Fontenille Pataud steak knife set is comprised of two Laguiole table knives with a handle made from French box wood. This is a light type of wood with a very fine structure. Box wood can only be purchased in small amounts and sizes which makes it a relatively expensive type of wood. The traditional 'shepherd's cross in the handle also looks amazing. The cross, comprised of rivets, refers to the legend of catholic shepherds who during their crusades to Spain, wanted to pray far away from a church or chapel. They put the knife, with the cross facing forwards, in the ground to say a prayer.
