Coarse stropping compound for polishing away sharpening marks.


This **Eden stropping compound** is ideal for polishing the edges of your knives. In combination with a [stropping paddle](/en/ct/stropping-paddles.htm) or [stropping belt](/en/ct/clamp-and-shaving-belts.htm), you have a great tool to create a razor-sharp edge in no time. The [grey Eden compound](/en/pt/-eden-stropping-compound-gray-coarse.htm)  is a little coarser and grittier. Ideal for removing sharpening traces of sharpening on a stone for instance. The [red Eden compound](/en/pt/-eden-stropping-compound-rood-fine.htm) is finer and is very suitable for polishing the cut.



## How do you apply compound?



Before use, the strop needs to be heated a little. Hold it over a gas flame or some other type of burner. Be careful not to burn yourself or the strop! The compound also has to be warmed a little, after which you can smear it on the leather like using a crayon. With the grey (coarse) pre-heating is a must!

Leider war die Schleifpaste an beiden Enden leicht zerbröselt
(Kleine teile abgebrochen)

Assez difficile à étaler, cette pâte doit être bien chauffée au préalable (sèche cheveux). 
Une fois étalée, la qualité est au rendez vous pour un résultat relativement fin contrairement à ce que laisse penser le descriptif.


Je suis un peu déçu par cette pâte à polir. En effet, je m'attendais à mieux en terme d'efficacité car plus chère que d'autres pâtes. Le grain n'est pas assez gros pour terminer un affutage (comme une pâte noire) et pas assez fin pour un polissage (comme une pâte blanche ou verte).
