The **Bark River Lil' Canadian** is a practical fixed knife, made by Bark River Knives in the United States. This knife is definitely meant to be used. It might not stand out in terms of looks. However, when you hold it you understand what makes the Lil' Canadian so appealing.

 Ergonomically speaking this knife is close to perfect. The large handle and the finger grooves ensure that you have enough grip. Your hand is located closely to the edge to make sure you have a lot of control over the knife. This knife is perfect for hunters looking for a very ergonomic knife. But also when camping or to simply cut a piece of cheese the Lil' Canadian will be the perfect tool.

 The blade is made from CPM 3CV-steel. A tool steel that is known for its exceptional strength. As such it won't break and will retain its sharpness well. You do, however, need to be careful with moisture and acids: CPM 3V is not completely stainless. So clean it after use and occasionally add a drop of oil to keep this knife in great shape. The edge has been enhanced with a convex grind which you can [maintain by stropping it](/en/ct/stropping.htm).

 The handle is made from canvas micarta. A strong and light-weight material, made from linen and synthetic resin. Feels comfortable in hand, even in wet or cold circumstances.

 The Bark River Little Canadian comes with a leather belt sheath (max. Belt width 5.0 cm)

 Bark River makes all of its knives almost completely by hand. As such each knife is unique. Especially when you are working with natural materials a knife can differ from the photographs. The knife you receive can therefore be subtly different from the product photos. The model and type of material, however, will always be the same.
