## The axe head of the Adler Rheinland Throwing Hatchet

The Rheinland axe head is known for its balance, precision and ergonomic design, making it a popular option for axe throwing. These features make the axe ideal for both novice throwers and those competing in matches.

The head is forged from C60 steel. This is a hard carbon steel that is still easy to sharpen. The head has a transparent coating that protects the steel from rusting. This coating will wear off with repeated use. Always make sure to store your axe dry using the included leather sheath.

## The handle of the Adler Rheinland Throwing Hatchet

The handle is made from American Hickory wood. This type of wood absorbs blows well, a pretty important feature for an axe. There are different handle versions. For example, there is a handle with a layer of non-slip paint, and a version with handle without a finish, for the axe-thrower who prefers that. All the paint Adler uses is completely water-based. Which is good for the environment, and for everyone at Adler who makes these axes.

## Complies with WATL regulations

This axe is designed with World Axe Throwing League (WATL) specifications in mind. This means the axe head has a height of 10 centimetres and the handle a length of 40 centimetres, making it suitable for use in all official axe throwing competitions.
