I bought this piece of kit after having been stung with a piece of junk from one of the usual popular outlets and I must say it’s excellent. I started with putting an edge on an old Opinel that I reckoned was beyond redemption and within 20 minutes it was like a razor. Another few pocket and hunting knives were sorted with similar results the same evening.

It’s a bit lighter than I was expecting, but it seems strong enough, it does help to have it on a solid surface and it’s very intuitive to use! I was able to sharpen everything I’ve got in the house from pocket to kitchen knives, very simple but effective set up. Take a little getting use to if you’ve never used one before, especially finding the correct edge angel. But for the price it’s a good system especially with the up-grades available!
