Set of sharpening stones for the Wicked Edge sharpening system. Grit 800 and 1000.

The **Wicked Edge Diamond-coated sharpening stones, fine 800/1000** are two sharpening stones for the Wicked Edge sharpening systems. The sharpening stones are comprised of a plastic base with diamond-coated sharpening stones on top. The sharpening stones have two grain sizes: the light blue side is 800 grit and the dark blue side is 1000 grit.

The grain sizes of the American Wicked Edge, however, are different from Japanese grain sizes. These sharpening stones have a grain size of 800 and 1000. This is comparable to a J900 and J1700 Japanese sharpening stone. 

These stones have a medium coarseness and are therefore perfect when sharpening your sharp knives. Are your knives blunt? If so, it is best to sharpen them with coarser sharpening stones. Expensive, as is all Wicked Edge gear but these stones are a great addition to the often included 200/ 600 grit stones. 
The 800/ 1000 grits have the ability to just refine the edge that bit further. Edges sharpened with these stones are left crisp, smooth and hair popping sharp with a lot of the toothiness smoothed out.

Excellent produit pour affuter un couteau ayant perdu un peu de « mordant ». Ces diamants sont destinés à rattraper légèrement un affûtage déjà présent ou à commencer une finition miroir. Je recommande 

Le système wicked edge est pour moi un des meilleurs ensemble d affutage car la lame du couteau     est fixe durant tout le processus  et les pierres à aiguiser font le job.
