The **Spyderco Shaman C229GPBK** is a large and cool pocket knife, designed by Spyderco founder Sal Glesser. The Shaman has different characteristics you might be familiar with from other Spyderco's. At the same time the Shaman is really different within the range.



We will start with what we know: a thumb-hole blade made from S30C steel with a black coating. The blade is locked by a solid compression lock. A lock that was invented by Sal Glesser. Steel liners enhanced with holes to keep the weight low with G10 scales placed around them. 


These G10 scales are exactly what give the Shaman its character. They are nicely rounded and enhanced with a matt finish. They are large, have enough room for very large hands and are very ergonomic.



As a result, the Shaman has acquired its own place in the Spyderco range. A fascinating design that can be used as a real user's knife, but because of its interesting construction, ergonomics and locking system will also appeal to collectors.

Big, heavy, serious, this is THE knife in the Spyderco lineup. I love it more than the PM2 but less than the Native 5 for EDC. But nothing beats it as the king of the Spydeco bunch overall. Just not the best one to have in your pocket 24/7, more of a camp/wilderness tool. 

Gewohnt hohe verarbeitungs Qualität, das Shaman ist ein Taschenmesser mittlerer Größe und ideal als EDC Messer zu tragen auch der Umbau ist leichter als bei der PM Serie. Aktuell mein Liebling Messer. 

Das Spyderco Shaman ist ein absolutes Higlight im Spyderco Programm. Ein typisches Spyderco Design und dennoch mit einer modernen, zeitgemäßen Note vom Gründer Sal Glesser. Verarbeitung und Klinge - wie immer: erstklassig! Schärfe und Handhabung sind super. Meine Sammlung besteht aus nunmehr über 30 Exemplaren; das Shaman ist nicht das größte Modell - aber sicherlich das schönste und vielleicht das beste !
