The **Schrade Extreme Survival Fixed Blade** is a strong survival knife, for a good price. A no-nonsense knife, for no-nonsense tasks. The blade is made from stainless AUS10 steel. This means that, apart from sharpening it occasionally, you hardly need to think about maintenance. The fact that Schrade can offer a comparable knife at such an attractive price is seriously impressive. A complete survival knife, for a very good price.

The edge has a slight curve. This is also called a 'recurve'. An important advantage of this is that the material is somehow pulled into the edge. This makes the knife just a little bit more efficient. The handle is made from Thermoplastic Elastomer (TPE). Strong, offers enough grip and is rubbery. Very nice for a knife handle.

The Schrade Extreme Survival comes in a nylon sheath with front pocket. It has enough room for a firesteel, sharpening stone or tinder. The sheath has a belt loop that can be attached to belts up to 5.5 cm wide.

## About Schrade Knives

Schrade produces great knives for great prices. That's what they are good at. There are few brands that can compete with these kinds of prices. However, this does mean that the finish might not always be perfect. Not something to worry about, and in line with the prices.

J'aurais aimé voir des sangles de montage à fixer sur la protection.
à attacher à une jambe, un sac à dos ou autre chose.

I bought the Schrade Extreme Survival as a large bushcraft Knife. 
The top of the blade has jimping for better control when creating tinder on a nice piece of fat wood. 
Something bigger Knifes struggle to do. 
Great for a Beginner. 

Déçu, voila le mot...
grand couteau qui en impose, certes, mais tranchant à revoir, dommage. Ca, c'est demi mal, ça se reprends.
Le manche soi disant (voir la description) adhérent est en fait en G10 bien dur... L'étui "en nylon" est en bon gros plastique dur sans poche frontale... Heureusement, il y a un aiguiseur dessus, c'est toujours ça.
Livré dans un paquage scéllé, comme ça, si on ouvre, on garde... on ne peut meme pas tester la prise en main sans déchirer le plastique.
J'ai acheté en meme temps un Beavercraft... c'est autre chose. 
Bref, un bon gros couteau de survie quand meme, les zombies n'ont qu'a bien se tenir...
