The **Rough Ryder Bowie Brown G10** is a large fixed knife. The bowie blade is enhanced with a large recurve making the knife look very cool. The knife is enhanced with a full-tang construction, which runs throughout the handle. As such the knife is even stronger. The micarta scales are secured with rivets, one of which is made from a stunning mosaic. The mosaic pin finishes the whole. The knife comes with a large nylon sheath. 

## 440A steel

440A is a fine, popular type of steel. It is corrosion resistant and easy to sharpen. It won't retain its sharpness for a really long time, but this is compensated by the fact that 440A is quite tough and easy to sharpen. This means you only occasionally have to maintain it a little to make sure you always keep a sharp knife close.

## Micarta handle

The handle is made from micarta which is enhanced with a brown colour. Micarta is a composite material made from linen and synthetic resin which are pressed together under high pressure. It offers a lot of grip and is nice and lightweight. Micarta absorbs the oils from your hand, so each knife will become truly unique over time.

Of course this means you sometimes need to compromise which means that occasionally you could find there to be something wrong with the finish. Nothing major, and definitely in line with the prices. In case of natural materials such as wood, bone and horn it is possible to end up with small scratches around the pins. It is simply a part of the deal in this price range.
