This **Real Steel Ippon 7242** is a remarkable, slim pocket knife, designed by Chad Los Banos. The name Ippon comes from Japanese martial arts, where the term means 'one point', the highest possible score. The Real Steel Ippon combines the best of the Asian knife world with western knife construction.



Its blade is made from Böhler N690 steel, which is razor-sharp with a thin grind. N690 is very corrosion-resistant and easy to sharpen. The blade shape might remind you of the traditional Japanese Kwaiken knives. With its straight spine and ascending edge, this timeless shape has been a recipe for success for centuries. 



The handle is made from a combination of carbon fibre and steel liners. To keep the weight down, large holes have been drilled into the liners, but these can't be seen from the outside. These holes mean that the Real Steel Ippon weighs a mere 90 grams, despite its total length of 20.5 cm.

Für diesen Preis ein Schnäppchen. Elegante Form, gute Performance. Lediglich der Hebel vom Frontflipper war etwas scharfkantig. Etwas Schmirgelpapier hat‘s gerichtet.

Finitions parfaites, design épuré, un très beau couteau (une fois ouvert, rien ne dépasse). Lame fine très pratique pour un usage quotidien, poids contenu, que du positif. Seul bémol, le déblocage de la lame à l'ouverture est assez dur à cause de la bille de rétention en position fermée sur le linerlock.
