The **LionSteel T5** is a tough fixed knife. As the little brother of the [LionSteel M7](/en/pt/-lionsteel-m7-ms.htm), this knife is just as solidly constructed. This knife was meant to be an all-round tactical field knife. From building a fire to preparing food: The LionSteel T5 will always be there for you.

 ## LionSteel T5 knife: Italian design, German steel

 The blade of the LionSteel T5 is made from Niolox steel. A German type of tool steel that is fairly stainless but when exposed to salt and acids can stain a little. When it comes to sharpness retention Niolox can be compared to D2 steel, but it is more resistant against *chipping*. It has a fine structure and it is easy to sharpen.

 A characteristic of the *LionSteel T5* is the micarta handle. This handle is milled from one solid piece of canvas micarta. As such the handle is very strong. As such it feels amazing in hand. You feel straight away that it can handle quite a lot. Thanks to the large finger guard at the front of the handle, your hand is nicely locked around the handle. This keeps your hand away from the blade. The handle is large enough to hold it with a full fist. Even while wearing gloves.

 The LionSteel T5 comes with a very luxurious leather belt sheath. The sheath is enhanced with a belt loop (max. Belt width: 5.5 cm). But also with an extensive MOLLE-fixation. This gives you the freedom to wear the T5 any way you want.

Superbe couteau manche agréable et finition parfaite 

A beautiful knife, feels extremely comfortable in the hand and a nice weight. Hair shaving sharp out of the box. Couldn't be happier.

Awesome blade, one of the most beautiful knives that exist. I couldn't have wished more. 

Mein T5 ist heute angekommen, Praxis Erfahrungen fehlen also noch. Der Ersteindruck ist absolut klasse, Verarbeitung usw. auf ganz hohem Niveau, out oft he Box rasiermesserscharf. Am Messer selbst konnte ich bisher keine Verarbeitungsfehler entdecken. Lediglich der Flachschliff könnte etwas feiner ausgeschliffen sein, ob es wirklich Schnittfreudig ist wird sich noch zeigen. Die Schleifkerbe dürfte für mich auch deutlich kleiner sein, das wird das Messer im Einsatz mit Sicherheit verbessern.

Mit der Verarbeitung der Lederscheide bin ich nicht ganz zufrieden, die Nächte sind nicht ganz sauber verarbeitet und weisen an zwei Stellen Fehlstellen auf. 

Unterm Strich ein wirklich schönes Messer. Ich freu mich schon drauf es zu benutzen.

For me it is perfect as a bushcraft knife. Strong enough to do most things. Ok it's a little short for batoning anything sizeable but its definitely strong enough. The grip is comfortable and grippy. The sheath is very nice. I can't think of a better alternative as an all rounder.
