The **Kizer Vanguard V3 Vigor** is a lightweight and compact folding knife. It was designed with the goal of combining quality and functionality and it starts with the supplied cleaning cloth. The blade is made of VG10 stainless steel: which is easy to sharpen and preserves its sharpness for a long time. It opens like a charm thanks to the flipper and the ball-bearings makes the blade open very smoothly. The G10 grips provide an excellent grip. The steel liners make the frame sturdy and the liner-lock blocks the blade.

Geniales Messer, schlank, handlich, sehr scharf, habe ich durch seine handliche Größe ständig dabei! Würde ich sofort wieder kaufen.

Ik was op zoek naar een licht en fijn mesje dat ik dagelijks kan gebruiken op werk om mijn appeltjes mee te schillen. Mijn oog viel op dit mes van Kizer, al had ik nog geen ervaring met dit merk. Maar ik heb geen enkele spijt van de aankoop, want wat een fijn edc mes is dit!
Ik vind het mes er mooi uit zien, met het droppoint lemmet en mooie swedge. De hollow grind maakt het mes ook ideaal om mee te snijden, zoals fruit. Het staal is vg10 en dat houdt zich prima met dergelijke taken, al kwam het mes niet scheerscherp uit de verpakking. Een paar keer over de strop en het mes was vlijmscherp.
Het mes ligt ook ideaal in mijn hand. Ik heb geen grote handen, maar wel lange vingers. De grip is perfect en ik ervaar geen hotspots. Met de thumb stud vliegt het mes open, heel soepel.
Ik heb dit mes dagelijks bij me. Omdat ik het mes in een groot vak van mijn rugzak heb met andere spullen, heb ik er een kleine pouch omheen want het G10 is wat gevoelig voor krassen.

stijlvol, doch functioneel mes. zeker  voor 56 euro is VG10 en G10 zeker geen slechte deal. Waar dit mes een beetje tekort schiet is de afwerking van het lemmet en de plaatsing van de thumbstud. Het mes werd vrij bot geleverd, en doordat de slijphoek vrij groot is moest ik heel het mes opnieuw slijpen. Nu is hij vlijmscherp, maar dit vond ik niet kunnen. Daarnaast zit de thumbstud boven het lemmet en heeft het mes een hele lichte recurve, wat slijpen op stenen lastig maakt. Overall een mooi mes, maar de afwerking had beter gemogen. 

I already had an inexpensive EDC knife  of Chinese manufacture, but actually perfectly satisfactory, but it had a part serrated blade, so I was looking for something like it, but with a normal edge blade.

There are so many EDC knives, but none were exactly what I was looking for, until I found the Kizer V3 Vigor.

To me it is the perfect compact EDC knife, beautifully shaped blade, sculpted black textured grip which is not too bulky. The blade moves smoothly  but without any play and the lock is very positive , again with no play. Nothing moulded or stamped, all machined from the solid. The blade sits exactly in the middle of the two sides. I can’t think of anything that could be improved, in design and manufacture, its spot on! Why pay more?
