Big heavy knife that will do all appropriate jobs you need it to do. Well made, sharp and tough. The sheath is huge and not as bad as people make out. Usefull pocket on front. Would have preferred it not to be coated black but it's easy enough to remove and polish. I like it.

Superb quality, bought for a wilderness survival weekend and it owned every task I attempted. Mora's were the norm in the group and the bk7 outperformed them on everything except field dressing rabbit, although from what I gather this was more down to my inexperience than the knife. Although expensive compared to many other options the sheer quality of the knife epitomized by the way you can batton logs almost effortlessly more than demonstrates the value for money it truly represents. Once you've removed some of the protective coating on the spine so it will spark a ferro rod (which fit's nicely in the sheath) you're set for practically any task the outdoors can throw at you. Top product and first class service, highly recommend.

It seems a lot of money but like another reviewer said it's worth it and it definitely is . This knife is better than expected with a really nice weight and balance . The blade steel is fantastic quality and literally breezes through camp chores . After recent shoulder surgery I haven't got full strength back yet but this large knife actually makes the work much easier . I don't have a problem with the sheath and the only change I made was to wrap some padded grippy handlebar tape around the handle . A1 get one !

Great knife. Solid, tough steel. holds a very sharp edge. Grip is very slick. A very cheap upgrade is to wrap any grip around to make a perfect knife.

This knife came out the box razor sharp and with a good quality sheath. The blade is thick and heavy duty and can take a right good beating holding a good edge.

The Becker BK7 is a good strong knife if you want something to whack about, batonning, etc. It's not a thing of great beauty or subtlety, but will stand some pretty hard use. You'll need to dress off some of the coating on the spine if you want to use that for striking ferrocerium 'fire steels'.

I work in a field were you need to have a good knife for all manner of things. I was initially issued a Smith and Wesson search and rescue knife though its a good knife it was lacking in certain areas and it was over all just a tad smaller than what I needed, which is why I purchased the BK7 and it was a good call after reading a number of other reviews. It truly "works for a Living." It fits exactly among the pouches of my other gear due to the good MOLLE design and it is lightweight and well secured when in it's sheath. I also happen to find it is more comfortable to hold than many other knives but again this is just a personnel preference. If you are looking for a good quality knife at an affordable rate I would ask that you give this one a moment or two of thought as it might just be the knife your looking for.

I found the knife to be of solid construction not to heavey very sharp, and comfortable to hold. I do think the sheath is a little longer than necessary and would be better if the knife was held in place with some kind of pressure while in the sheath instead of a single pressstud. However I would still recommend the ka bar becker bk 7.

Firstly if you are thinking of buying this item I'd recommend to check some youtube reviews on it, and after purchase you will be also writing a positive review like this. This is probably the best knife I have purchased, ever. I owned a little collection of different type of knifes which I am selling one by one due to this one pretty much replacing them in every kind of aspect. The blade is very solid and from the box comes in very, very, very... sharp, you can shave with it - wouldn't recommend to but you can do if that's something that floats your boat. You can tell its a very solid item that can take a lot of punishment. Some people complain about the handle. I myself like it, it fits its well in my hand, when wearing gloves it feels very solid and its very easy to control to make precision cuts with it. There is a little hole also to attach some power cord for easier access when holstered. The sheave itself also many people I've seen that reviewed this item have complaint about. I see the point of it being bit too long compared to the blade, however the way its designed its very heavy duty fabric and the belt attachment its made a way which when its attached to your belt and the knife is in the sheave you can easily crouch without a problem as you can guide the sheave into different directions so it doesn't push against you when crouching. Like most sheaves however the only thing keeping the knife in place is a little loop... which isn't the best, a magnet or a specially designed plastic inner which would keep the knife in place would be so much better. However, from using it in the field, the sheave isn't actually that bad, with gloves on you can easily guide the knife in to the sheave and easily close the loop so you don't loose it, additional powercord and maybe a carabina can also help for more clumsy people. I have stressed the blade myself but there is plenty of youtube videos that show stress tests on this blade and its limits. The blade is solid, its very sharp, and its good very good weight on it which allows for chopping. This makes it a good multipurpose item, a defiantly middle ground between a knife and a small axe. You can Chop, cut, slash, carve all sorts with this knife. This Knife is great for field craft, survavilsm, pretty much most use. If you looking for a good field knife, look no further, get this knife, it is bit pricey but it is worth every single pound, life investment. Honestly don't bother going cheap on your knife, Get this one it is honestly worth it. 10/10
