The **Gerber Remix** is a striking knife with a practical design. Broader than your average Gerber pocket knife but not necessarily impractical. The first thing you notice is the large eye at the end of the blade. This eye has been added to the blade to make sure it has enough room for a finger to ensure maximum stability during use.


The drop point blade can easily be opened with one hand thanks to the thumb studs. Once opened the liner lock firmly keeps the blade in place. Thanks to this mechanism the pocket knife won’t accidentally close. You can also close the knife using only one hand. The blade is made from 7cr17MoV stainless steel.


The anodized aluminium handle stands out amongst this minimalistic design. Strong and low in terms of weight. Because of the open design keeping the knife clean is a piece of cake. The pocket clip prevents you from losing the knife as you carry it in your pocket. The same pocket clip enables you to attach the knife to your belt so you will always have it close, ready to be used.

Excellent petit couteau, le tranchant résiste assez longtemps et très maniable.

J'avais déjà 3 couteaux "coupe-corde" ou d' "escalade" donc il me fallait celui-ci, ce n'est pas mon premier Gerber et là je suis un peu déçu, comme déjà dit, impossible de l'ouvrir à une main, donc il est inutile en accroché au baudrier (le PETZL Sparta reste le top pour ça). Sinon il est très beau, d'un bon poids, assez bien affûté... Pour collectionner.

Ik vind het een heel mooi mes met een uniek design. Ik heb hem gekocht vanwege de ring, waardoor je hem om je vinger(s) kan laten draaien. Minder indrukwekkend als met een Carambit of een vlindermes, maar het houd je bezig. Minpunt: mes ik met geen mogelijkheid met één hand open (of dicht) te krijgen. Dat is nogal een dingetje in de messen community. Kortom: Zoek je gewoon een mooi mes waarmee je indruk maakt en een goede conversatie starter is, dan is dit je ding. Als je echt gaat voor puur gebruikersgemak dan zou ik wellicht een andere optie overwegen. Voor het geld hoef je het echter niet te laten.
