This is my 2nd purchase from Knives and Tools. At every step they have guided me to make the best decision for the axe that I needed. They weren't trying to sell me any old thing but a tool that would satisfy everything that i asked for. I now have a splitting maul that fits my height as well as a hand axe that solves all my smaller tasks. If I hadn't had their advice I might well have ended up with inferior products for what I wanted to achieve. They might not have every axe but they have all the knowledge to guide you to the best decision. Nick

I bought the FISKARS X25 Splitting Maul for a friend at Christmas. Being a farmer, he typically makes do and mends his tools and his axes were all loose, having been left out in all weathers. So the synthetic handle should survive quite a good deal of abuse and neglect. Thank you for your excellent service. Goes through bigger logs impressively, doesn't even need special force to be applied or raised too high, just use its own weight. But a bit heavy to use longer periods. For smaller logs it would be nice to have second axe of smaller size to be easier on user. Handle is very ergonomic and does not slip. Quality tool made in Finland.
