The **Estwing Fireside Friend splitting tool** is perfect for splitting wood. With a heavy axe head this is a compact but a heavy splitting axe. The weight and the shape of the axe head take care of a great splitting force. The back of the axe head is flat and can also be used as a hammer. This axe is, for instance, perfect to make kindling.


This axe is forged from one piece of steel which makes it extremely strong. There is no wooden handle that can break or needs to be maintained. Instead you will find a thin steel handle with an Estwing Shock Reduction Grip. The handle has great grip, even in wet circumstances.
