The **Eden Hammered Damast nakiri 16.5 cm** is a razor-sharp jewel for your kitchen. Elegant yet very practical. A Nakiri is a traditional Japanese vegetable knife. The high and square blade is great for quickly cutting vegetables, fruit and herbs. The high blade allows you to safely guide the blade along your knuckles while chopping. This versatile knife is indispensable in any kitchen! Excellent detailing and a wooden storage box complete the picture.

## Eden Hammered Damascus steel

The blade of these knives has a core made from strong and stainless AUS-10 steel, with a hardness of 60 HRC. An ideal level of hardness. Tough enough to retain its sharpness very well, but manageable enough to sharpen at home. The core is richly decorated with beautiful and stainless damascus steel with a hammered finish. Originally, these dents were the result of the blacksmith's hammer. In Japan, this finish is called Tsuchime. 

## Eden Hammered Damast handle

The handle is made from G10. G10 is a rock-solid type of plastic that is highly resistant to discolourations and moisture, acids and heat. The egg-shaped handle feels great in hand for both left- and right-handed users. The bolster, which is the metal part between the blade and the handle, is asymmetrical to provide a better grip when you're holding the knife in a pinch grip. The bolster of the handle contains a little steel plate that is engraved with Eden's logo.

## Maintaining your new kitchen knives

Even though the blade is made from stainless steel and the handle is made from moisture-resistant plastic, you should not put the Eden Hammered Damast knives in the dishwasher. This is detrimental to the elegant looks and the quality of the knife. Enjoy these kitchen knives longer by simply washing and drying them by hand. 

In order to keep the knives razor-sharp, we recommend occasionally sharpening them. This can be done with a whetstone or a sharpening steel, for example. If you do this regularly, you will always enjoy optimal sharpness!

Très beau couteau mis en valeur dans son coffret, attention cependant à ne pas se blesser en le sortant les premières fois car il est très solidement maintenu par la mousse. Bien évidemment délais et livraison de KNIVES and TOOLS  toujours aussi parfaits. 

Je cherchais un Nakiri pour la cuisine, j'ai jeté mon dévolu sur celui ci.
Très agréable en main et équilibré, la préparation de légumes est parfaite. Emballé dans une très belle boite en bois, le couteau semble être de bonne facture. Le tranchant initial est bon mais j'ai préféré le reprendre pour calibrer l'angle suivant mes préférences. Bref, un très beau couteau abordable et agréable à utiliser.
