The **Cold Steel 4 Max Scout 62RQDESW** is large, cool and strong. A decent pocket knife for an amazing price. The original design of the 4 Max was popular, but slightly expensive. That is why Cold Steel introduced the 4 Max Scout: just as large and impressive, but slightly more affordable.

The blade is made from AUS10A steel with a stonewash finish. This is a type of steel that can handle its own and is also easy to sharpen. You open the blade one-handed with the large thumb stud. We noticed that this is easier if you have larger hands. But that almost goes without saying, when you consider the size of this knife. The Griv-Ex handle is also mostly intended for larger hands. A strong plastic that offers enough grip and is relatively light-weight. And yet the 4 Max Scout is still quite heavy, which is no surprise considering its size. When opened, the blade is locked by a solid Tri-Ad lock. This was invented by Demko himself!

Un Folder da considerare "definitivo" per la sua solidità, robustezza ed il rapporto qualità prezzo veramente elevato. In ogni sua componente dà decisamente una sensazione di solidita, non ci sono giochi, la centratura della lama è ottimale. Assolutamente non un EDC ma un coltello da lavoro pratico e multiruolo. Nel mio caso l'affilatura non era perfetta ma neanche pessima, Nel complesso un coltello davvero eccellente

Fantastisch dik mes. Niet uit het beste materiaal gemaakt, maar toch onverwoestbaar. Ja hij is lekker groot. Maar de reviews online dat hij niet als EDC kan dienen zijn voor mij iig onterecht. Mijn huidige EDC is de american lawman welke van beter matriaal gemaakt is. Maar ga hem zeker afwisselen met dit monster! 

De 4 Max scout. Als verzamelaar heb ik een behoorlijke collectie messen. Sommige kosten vijf keer zo duur als deze 4 Max scout. Toch is dit mes 1 van mijn favorieten messen. Dit is natuurlijk mijn persoonlijke mening over de 4 max scout. Dit mes is net zoals de geprezen SPARTAN een ontwerp van de messenmaker Andrew Demko.  Groot, zwaar, en voorzien van een super degelijke tri-ad vergrendeling, vlijmscherp uit de verpakking en keurig netjes afgewerkt. Mes is voorzien van het Japanse aus.10 staal. Geen exotisch duur staal maar ontzettend taai en fijn messenstaal wat veel wordt gebruikt door coldsteel. Voorheen gebruikte coldsteel jarenlang het Japanse aus.8 en daarna eventjes het Amerikaanse bd1 staal. Dit was al prima staal maar aus.10 staal is net nog iets beter. Heb inmiddels vier 4 Max scout messen in bezit. Met 280 gram geen lichtgewicht. Ook dichtgeklapt is dit een behoorlijk breed mes. Het lemmet is 5 mm dik. Dat is behoorlijk dik voor een zakmes. Echt een machtig stuk gereedschap in je hand. Werkelijk een prachtig ding voor weinig geld. Voor mij zijn dit dus allemaal pluspunten. Maar als je een zakmes zoekt om op je werk je dagelijkse appeltje te schillen kun je beter even verder zoeken. Dit mes is echt geschikt voor zwaar survival werk of gewoon als hebbeding.

Ben een zeer groot verzamelaar van tactische spullen. Heb ook een aardige verzameling van coldsteel messen. Mijn favoriete  no. 1 mes is en blijft de coldsteel spartan. Heb 7 spartan messen in bezit. Ook met het oudere . Aus8 en bd1  staal. Dit staal was al behoorlijk hufterproof maar is een aantal jaar geleden vervangen door het aus10 staal. Dit nieuwe Japanse staal is een goede upgrade van het voorgaande staal. Net weer iets taaier en blijft iets langer scherp. Ditzelfde staal zit ook in de 4 Max scout. ………Deze 4 Max scout is een machtig mes. Perfect afgewerkt , vlijmscherp geslepen en de gekleurde kunststof greep heeft een ontzettend goede grip, (ook met natte handen). De tri-ad lock is zo sterk dat coldsteel er patent op heeft.  Heb eerst één 4 Max scout mes besteld om deze eens goed te bekijken. Heb nu inmiddels 4 Max scouts (in elke geleverde kleur). Dat zegt genoeg over wat ik van dit mes vind. Prachtig zwaar (280 gram) en sterk mes ontworpen door coldseel ontwerper Andrew Demko . Van de ongeveer 150 messen die ik in mijn bezit heb komt deze 4 Max scout bij mij op de tweede plaats. Best knap voor een mes in deze prijsklasse……Tot slot nog een dit. Het bestelde product wordt altijd keurig verpakt verzonden in een goede doos. Top!
