The Classic series is the most popular out of Wüsthof’s entire range. Every type of knife is available in this series and each meets the highest requirements. The Wüsthof Classic series are a combination of a forged blades with black POM handles. This material is extremely durable and can stand the wear and tear of a kitchen environment. The blade runs seamlessly into the handle and has rivets to secure it tightly together.  
  


The forged blade of chromium-vanadium-steel (X50CrMoV15) is delivered razor-sharp. Each knife is sharpened to precision with laser technique to achieve the ultimate sharpness. After thorough inspection, every knife leaves the production line ready for a long life of intensive use. Both hobby chefs and professional chefs work a lot with these kitchen knives. They have received the NSF hygiene label.

We measure the sharpening angle ourselves. This value is the angle per side.  So 20º means that the total angle of the edge is 40º. Please note that knives are almost always sharpened by hand, even in factories. This value is therefore only an indication of a single tool measured by us.
