The **Civivi Orthrus** is a unique and bold semi-fixed knife. Semi? Yes indeed! You transform the knife from a straight fixed knife into a karambit by tilting the orientation of the blade. All you have to do is push a button in the handle. A solid lock ensures the knife stays in place. Without friction. The knife fits inside the included Kydex sheath in both positions. As such you can safely and subtly carry the knife on your pants, backpack or belt. Do be careful when taking it from its sheath. The knife is enhanced with a double-sided grind.

## Civivi Orthrus blade

The blade is made from D2 steel with a black coating. A hard type of steel that retains its sharpness well, but is also easy to sharpen. Great if you use it on a daily basis. Do, however, be careful with moisture and acids: D2 is not completely stainless. Always clean the knife after use, especially when it has come into contact with (fruit) acids, salt or moisture. The blade is enhanced with a remarkable blade. It is a combination of a tanto and a recurve. With a double-sided grind straight edge, and partially serrated edge. As such you will have the right blade shape for every situation. 

## Civivi Orthrus handle

The handle is made from G10. A solid plastic that provides you with enough grip thanks to the ridges. The ring on the back of the handle is, of course, a must for a karambit. It offers your index finger grip, but also serves as a glass breaker during an emergency situation.

Très bien, très belle finition, l'étui fonctionne bien avec un ulti clip slim 3.3, couteau très dangereux, lame très fine, pointe, 4 angles de coupe, 2 positions droite et karambit, poids, prise en main des 2 positions, l’anneau bonne taille, le prix , pas grand chose en defaut l’etui un peux dur mais si on tire le couteau sort sans probleme un peu d’huile dans l’etui et sur le couteau pour régler le probleme.  
l’equipe KaT au top comme d’hab ! 

Je ne sais pas niveau longévité étant donné que l'angle de la lame est modifiable mais cela reste une très belle et originale pièce.
Petit point négatif pour l'étui, j'ai l'impression de couper dedans à chaque fois que je sors le couteau mais je reste néanmoins satisfait de mon achat

Cuchillo corto "semi" fijo. Perfecto para la colección y perfecto para defensa personal. Muy afilado y con filo por toda la hoja. Hagas el movimiento que hagas acertarás. El único pero es el anillo para el pulgar, tiene un mango muy corto y me es demasiado incómodo meter ahí el dedo, prefiero sostenerlo como si fuese una extensión del mango. Y eso me sorprende, ya que ha sido diseñado por un tipo bastante grande y corpulento.

Een prima mes wat erg scherp uit de verpakking komt. De lock die het mes laat wisselen tussen traditioneel en karambit style is verrassend sterk. Alle snijkanten van het mes (4!) zijn scherp en de extra geribbelde ruimte voor de duim is een goede aanvulling. Het enige probleem is dat het mes stroef uit de schede komt, hier moet je extra kracht voor zetten en dus mee oppassen om jezelf niet te snijden. Dit maakt het mes uit de schede halen in een omgekeerde/ondersteboven grip tricky. Voor de rest 9/10 mes.

One side can peel potatoes at ease while with the other one  
will open a beer for you! 
Oh boy! Be aware cause the edges of that thing are sharp as a razor!
The handle is slick and comfortable with the ''eye'' at the end to stop you  from losing your grip and cutting your hand open.
''Terzuola'' belt holder speaks for itself.
