The **Böker Magnum Forest Ranger 01MB233** is a large and decent pocket knife, made for outdoor tasks. Your eye is immediately drawn to the cool handle. Steel bolsters with cool scales made from root wood. Because of the rich pattern and warm look and feel the wooden scales make the whole look very chic. And that for a knife in this price range.

 You can easily open the blade with the thumb stud. Do you prefer to open your knife with two hands? With the included torx key you can quickly remove it. Once opened a solid liner lock ensures that it won't close when you don't want it to. As such your fingers will always be safe. The blade is made from 440A steel. This type of steel can easily be sharpened. As such you won't spend a lot time sharpening your knife.

When I opened the box with the knife I was struck in awe, at that price the knife was big and well-built. It was a little dull from the box but I easily sharpen it. Generally I like it.

A great knife for £25. It didn't seem overly sharp out of the box (zero chance of it passing the "arm hair shave test"), but does fine with thick cardboard.

One of the liners was slightly unevenly cut at the point where it protrudes out the bottom. Both of them were also scratched at that location. That's quite a minor aesthetic flaw that is only noticeable to someone who carefully examines the knife.

The rest of the knife is exactly what you'd expect from a quality brand like Boker. The action is very smooth and effortlessly allows the knife to be flicked open. Visually, the knife is pretty nice to look at (although the pictures make it look slightly higher end that it really is).

All-in-all, there's very little to complain about for a knife at this price point.

This is an excellent pocket knife. It fits flat in my pocket and is easy to open one handed.
