The **Wüsthof Classic Ikon peeling knife 8 cm** is a small and practical knife with a luxurious look and feel. Great when peeling and cutting smaller products. A real all-rounder in the kitchen!

## Handle


This relatively exclusive Wüsthof collection is characterized by the remarkable handle material that was used. The handles are made from African black wood. This is a stunning dark type of wood that is also used to make wooden instruments such as oboes and clarinets. The grains in the wood make each product unique.


## Blade


Even though the handle is quite the eye catcher it doesn’t mean that little attention was paid to the blade. Like with other Wüsthof collections the blade is made from X50CrMoV15 steel, which was sharpened according to the PEtec method, and polished by hand. This type of steel is also easy to sharpen.


Another advantage of this blade is the crop. It doesn’t extend all the way to the edge, but does separate the handle from the blade. As such you not only keep your fingers safe, you can also use the entire edge. Also great when you want to sharpen the knife.

Très bon couteau malgré son prix élevé.

Het is zeker niet het eerste Wusthof IKON mes dat ik aanschaf maar ben nog steeds heel erg onder de indruk van de kwatiteit die ze leveren. Deze messen blijven heel lang scherp en scoren kwa vorgevings en balans voorstreffelijk. Daarbovenop vind ik (maar dat is natuurlijk persoonlijk) dat deze messen er gewoon super-mooi uitzien. De wat hogere prijs van dit soort messen zijn ze zeker waard.

Please note that knives are almost always sharpened by hand, even in factories. This value is therefore only an indication of a single tool measured by us.
