The **TSPROF Venev S 3/2-1/0** is a small, ultra-fine, double-sided diamond-coated sharpening stone that is perfect for the TSPROF Kadet and Blitz sharpening systems. Thanks to the fine grain size this sharpening stone is perfect for the last step of the sharpening process. This sharpening stone has an improved organic OSB compound. This is a modernized layer with a micro-powder of synthetic diamonds. This new layer leaves you with a rock-solid surface that hardly wears out during use. Moreover, the layer is not sintered, but glued to the surface of the metal plate. An OSB layer is perfect for harder types of steel and when sharpening at small sharpening angles.

## Grain size: Russian microns

No grain on a sharpening stone has the same size. A sharpening stone is comprised of millions of sharpening particles. In the real world these sharpening particles never have the same size. Even if the manufacturer carefully sorts them by size, there will always be a certain range of dimensions. That is why Venev states that this sharpening stone has an average grain size between 3 and 2 micron and from 1 to 0 micron. In simple terms: this sharpening stone can be compared to a J6000 and J20.000 grit Japanese sharpening stone.

## Use and maintenance

The sharpening stones work best if you add some water to the surface. You don't need sharpening oil. As you use them the sharpening stones can be contaminated with metal particles. Fortunately you can easily remove those with hot water and a sponge. These sharpening stones are extremely hard. You don't need to lap them.
