## Functions of the Silva Terra Ranger SL

The Terra Ranger SL has a built-in sundial that allows you to see what time it is based on the sun. There are luminous markings to help you navigate in the dark. The compass can be attached to your jacket with a safety pin, leaving your hands free while navigating. This compass has a mirror that allows you to see the compass pointer and the background at the same time. Mirror compasses are great for accurate navigation because you can see the compass hand while looking at a reference point. A mirror compass works best in open areas when you need to determine a direction over long distances.
