The **Real Steel Bushcraft Scandi** is a robust bushcraft knife for an amazing price. With a blade thickness of 4.5 mm this is definitely a knife you can rely on. Real Steel kept the shapes nice and subtle. No unnecessary frills: a simple and good knife.


This version of the Real Steel Bushcraft Plus has a scandi-grind blade. Amongst bushcrafters that is a popular grind because it is great with wood work. In addition, the scandi grind is easy to sharpen.


In terms of steel Real Steel chose Sandvik 14C28N, a stainless type of steel that requires little maintenance in the field. The spine of the blade is sharp at the edges. As a result you can easily prepare tinder or use a firesteel.


The handle is made from G10. Because of the texture of the G10 you have enough grip and the shape of the handle is made as such that you can use it for longer periods of time. Because the handle is only slightly square it won’t roll from your hand. The basis shape, however, is fairly round. As a result you won’t be bothered by ‘hot spots’ during long-term use.


With an outdoor knife such as this one the way you carry it is just as important. For that reason Real Steel has included a nylon sheath with a kydex insert. MOLLE-compatible and can be worn both vertically and horizontally.

Couteau simple, bien adapté au bushcraft; matériaux de bonne qualité.
Reproche : poids un peu trop sur l'arrière, mais affiner la plate semelle ferait sans doute monter son prix (assez exceptionnel).
J'aurais apprécié que la rampe crantée soit poursuivie 1cm vers l'arrière (avec une petite découpe  des plaquettes). Plaquettes facilement amovibles et remplaçables par des plaquettes en bois par exemple.
