The **Nitecore MH25S** is a powerful flashlight with an impressive maximum output of 1800 lumens. With it you end up with a beam distance of no less than 504 metres! It is enhanced with a daily mode with 8 light modes and a tactical mode with 6 light modes. As such it is the perfect flashlight for both tactical purposes and use in and around the house.

The light is enhanced with a powerful Luminus SST-40-W LED light. It derives its power from the included Li-Ion battery with a power of 5000mAh. Do you own a 18650 battery or two CR123/RCR123 batteries? You can also use these with the MH25S. It can survive a fall of 1 metre high, and is waterproof up to a depth of 2 metres.

## Light modes for the Nitecore MH25S

This flashligt is enhanced with different light modes with the following lumens:

  * Turbo: 1800 lumens, burn time of approx. 45 minutes*, 63500 candela
  * High: 1050 lumens, maximum burn time of 3 hours, 33000 candela
  * Medium: 300 lumens, burn time of approx. 8 hours and 30 min, 9520 candela
  * Low: 5 lumens, maximum burn time of 48 hours, 1500 candela
  * Ultra-low: 1 lumen, maximum burn time of 1500 hours, 32 candela
  * Strobe: 1800 lumens
  * SOS: 1800 lumens
  * Beacon: 1800 lumens

*The burn time of the highest light mode is calculated at the moment the lamp is switched on in the highest mode. After 2-3 minutes, the light automatically switches to a lower mode due to the temperature regulation.

Goede output, maar ‘the devil is in the details’  en de details vallen tegen:
- de lamp rolt zonder lanyard
- accu heeft de neiging om te rammelen in de behuizing
- achterste schakelaar steekt ver uit en wordt niet beschermd door een kraag
- klepje op de usb wijst richting de duim, je drukt al snel met je duim tegen de lip vh klepje aan waardoor deze open kan gaan
- voorste schakelaar laat zich op het gevoel slecht vinden 
- schakelen tussen de 2 modi is niet intuïtief (ik zou er zonder handleiding zeker niet uitkomen) 
- de lanyard is armoedig. 

Al met al geen beste bouwkwaliteit in vergelijking met de Fenixlampen die ik ken/heb. 

Klein lichtpuntje: de ingebouwde voltmeter…die schijnt redelijk nauwkeurig te zijn…..ik vraag me alleen af of ik over 2 maanden nog weet hoe ik er toegang tot krijg.
