The **Medford Eris** is, for a small knife, absolutely grand. Within the range of Medford Knife and Tool this is definitely a teeny-tiny pocket knife. Still this pocket knife is as solidly constructed as its big brothers. The Eris is, at the thickest part of the handle (including pocket clip) 18 mm thick which is pretty thick for a knife with these measurements. The thickness of the blade (4,8 mm!) is also impressive.


The Eris has a titanium frame and a bronze anodized finish with a couple of satin details which are all applied by hand in Medford’s workshop. The hollow grind on the blade has also been applied by hand and comes with a satin finish.


D2 is a type of tool steel that needs maintenance and oil. Some budget knives use D2 as a cheap option by using a rudimentary heat treatment. Medford, however, used D2 to its full extent and turned it into a top-quality type of steel with excellent qualities. So, definitely not a budget option!


Each Medford knife is made by hand by talented knife makers. As such each knife has individual differences, making them unique. It takes approximately a year for Medford to ship their knives. Knives that are available on our website are in stock and can immediately be shipped. However, be in time: it might take a while for the new stock to arrive!
