The **Medford Eris** is magnificent as a small knife. Within the Medford Knife and Tool range this is truly a teeny tiny knife. And yet the construction of this pocket knife is just as good as that of its big brothers. At the thickest part of the handle (including pocket clip) the Eris is 18 mm thick. That is quite a lot for a knife this size. The blade thickness of 4.8 mm is also impressive.

 The Eris has a frame made from titanium. This version has a stonewashed finish. The blade has a hollow grind that was applied by hand and is enhanced with a PVD-coating.

 D2 is a tool steel that will always require maintenance and oil. Some budget knives use D2 as a cheap option with a rudimentary heat treatment. Medford, however, does whatever it can to turn D2 into an amazing type of steel with excellent qualities. So definitely not a budget option!

 Each Medford knife is made by hand by talented knife makers. Individual differences therefore occur and make each knife unique. It takes approximately one year for Medford to ship their knives.
