The **Medford 187F** is a large pocket knife made by Medford Knife & Tool in the United States. You open it with the remarkably shaped flipper. The blade made from D2 steel has a hollow grind that has been applied by hand. This is a unique feature: there are practically no manufacturers who apply a hollow grind by hand. When opened the solid frame lock firmly keeps the blade in place. Medford has pushed the stop-pin inside the blade. As such it symmetrically falls against the handle making it additionally solid.


 D2 is a type of tool steel that needs maintenance and oil. Some budget knives use D2 as a cheap option by using a rudimentary heat treatment. Medford, however, used D2 to its full extent and turned it into a top-quality type of steel with excellent qualities. So, definitely not a budget option!


Knife maker Greg Medford designed the 187F as a more budget-friendly option. It is, however, still a valuable and amazing knife, it is only missing the waterproof plastic storage case.


The handle on the Medford 187F has been made from OD-Green G10 on the presentation side. The lock side is made from titanium. The blade has been enhanced with a black PVD-coating.


Each Medford knife is made by hand by talented knife makers. As such each knife has individual differences, making them unique. It takes approximately a year for Medford to ship their knives. Knives that are available on our website are in stock and can immediately be shipped. However, be in time: it might take a while for the new stock to arrive!

Zoals greg medford zijn producten omschrijft klopt als een bus een brok kwaliteit en de afwerking is echt heel goed de prijs is wel heftig maargoed dan heb je wel iets staat zeker op gelijke voet met hinderer en proudly built in the USA.
