The two 'blades' are the protruding pins. You slide them between the cork and the inside of the bottleneck to pull the cork out of the bottle. The Twin Blade corkscrew is great for opening older wine bottles, or other bottles with a natural, brittle cork. Because the corkscrew does not drill into the cork, the cork cannot break.
