Full description
This little axe of Gerber is a versatile tool for the survivalist. The compact size and low weight makes it easy to carry on your belt or in a backpack. He stands his ground for light chopping. Starting logs for a campfire are easily made with this axe. But the sharp blade just as easily minces the beef for a barbecue. This is what makes the axe different from a regular axe. The edge is sharpened under a smaller angle than is usual for an axe. This may make the edge a bit more vulnerable, theoretically. But the main advantage is that you can take this axe with you as a back up knife. The finger grooves just behind the axe head are designed to accurately steer the axe. You then use it more as a knife then an axe. The back of the edge features ridges and can be used as a hammer.
