The **Fällkniven Modern Bowie** is a very large survival knife, inspired by the classic bowie. Fällkniven selected very modern materials that turn this knife into a true performance beast. 

 You could see it as the biggest brother from the Fällkniven Pro-collection. Although it is officially not a part of that collection, it is made from the same materials. The blade is namely also made from laminated CoS steel. A stainless type of steel that is easy to sharpen and can become really sharp. It is also tough and retains its sharpness well. It is a well-balanced type of steel that has more than proven itself over the past few years.

 The handle is made from Thermorun. It is a rubber-like material that even feels great in hand in arctic Swedish conditions. The tang of the blade is very wide inside the handle and provides optimum strength. Compared to other Fällkniven Pro knives, the Modern Bowie has a relatively thick handle. This gives you that bit of extra grip, compared to the, according to some, smaller Pro handles. To prevent your hand from slipping en ending up on the edge, the knife was enhanced with a large steel knife guard.

 Like all fixed Fällkniven knives the Modern Bowie also comes with a convex grind. This means that the edge doesn't have a flat V-shape, but is slightly curved. This creates an even more sustainable edge which can easily withstand extreme outdoor circumstances. Sharpening takes some getting used to, but is not impossible. We recommend stropping the knife in time to keep it razor-sharp at all times.

 Another difference with the Pro series is the sheath. This Fällkniven Modern Bowie namely comes with a very solid leather sheath. This one is perfect for left and right-handed use. To attach it to the belt you can use the dangler belt loop, which fits any belt up to 7.0 cm wide.
