This *de Buyer Affinity pan* gives you optimal heat distribution with a relatively low weight. It is a professional pan series by the renowned French brand de Buyer. The high-quality 5-ply construction make that these pans take and distribute heat really quickly. The composition of aluminum and stainless steel provide a perfect balance between heat distribution, dishwasher resistance and suitability for different heat sources. So is this series suitable for all hobs, including induction, but also for use in the oven.


## Non-stick layer


The combination of optimal heat distribution with a fine non-stick coating makes this pan very suitable for preparing delicate products at low temperatures. Because the non-stick coating is applied to the stainless steel inside of the pan, it is very resistant to scratching. It does not mean you should use metal cooking utensils or forks, of course! This pan take heat up to 250 degrees Celsius. This allows it to (although very briefly!) be used to keep a product warm in. The non-stick coating is not dishwasher-safe.



## High quality 5-ply construction


**de Buyer Affinity-** pans are made up of five different metal layers: an outer layer of stainless steel, followed by three layers of aluminum and a stainless layer on the inside. These layers go from the bottom up to the pouring edge. This makes for an ideal heat distribution, which is ideal for making sauces and reductions.


## Characteristics of the de Buyer Affinity pans


The handles of these pans are all riveted and cast. You will never have problems with screws that need to be tightened. Furthermore, all pans are very nicely polished. The edges of the pans are shaped so pouring liquids goes without spilling. The lids of the pans have a dent in the middle so condensation automatically falls back inside the pan. You can also add an ice cube in order to create additional condensation. **de Buyer Affinity** pans are not only very practical, but they are a joy to look at as well! *Bon appétit!*
