The **Case Trapper** is a traditional pocket knife with a classic Trapper shape. This is a pattern that has its origins amongst hunters and poachers. This special version has two blades: a classic clippoint and a traditional speypoint. Both blades can be used to gut caught game. When opened they are kept in place by a slipjoint.

 ## Case CV carbon steel

 The blade is made from Case Chrome-Vanadium steel, also called CV steel. This is a type of carbon steel that is loved because you can easily sharpen it. With only a minimum amount of effort you can truly make this knife razor-sharp. You do, however, have to be careful when it comes to rust. Long-term exposure to moisture, salt or acids ensure that the blade will discolour or even rust. Enthusiasts appreciate that in time a *patina* forms on the blade. This means that the steel gets a matt, grey colour. As such the knife gets a character all its own, making it unique.

 ## Dark Red Bone, Standard Jig handle

 The handle is made from *Dark Red Standard Jigged Bone*. This is basically cow bone that is enhanced with an interesting texture. Afterwards it is enhanced with a nice colour and polished. This is a truly classic type of handle material which radiates class and elegance. It nicely matches the Case knives. In this case a standard Jigged texture was added.
