The **Böker Field Butcher** is an amazing fixed knife, designed by Jesper Voxnaes. This popular Danish designer has an amazing feel for ergonomics and style. The Field Butcher does not only have the looks, but also the *skills to pay the bills*.


In terms of shape the Field Butcher immediately makes you think of a Santoku: a Japanese kitchen knife. As a result it is also great in the kitchen. After all, it has a thin grind making cutting vegetables and meat effortless. You can see that Voxnaes drew from the experience he gained when designing the Böker Sage kitchen knives.


Don’t let the kitchen skills put you off. You can also use the Field Butcher for many other tasks in and around the camp. It will never replace your axe, but cutting wood and such things will be an option.


In terms of materials Böker chose Böhler N690 steel and a handle made from linen micarta. N690 is a stainless type of steel that can easily be sharpened. Because of the stonewashed finish traces of use barely stand out. The micarta handle feels great in hand. The characterizing hollow pin in the handle enables you to use a paracord lanyard.
