The **Benchmade Saibu 486-201 Gold Class** is a stylish gentleman's knife, designed by Seiichi Nakamura. This Japanese designer added a couple great elements from the land of the rising sun to this pocket knife. The see-throughs in the handle might remind you of a Japanese room divider and on the spine of the blade you see a drawing in the backspacer that might remind you of a bamboo stem.



You open it with the thumb stud. When opened the blade is kept in place by a solid axis lock. A rock-solid lock that is great for both left and right-handed use. The interchangeable pocket helps with this, making the Saibu a real friend to all.



This is a special Gold Class version of the Saibu. This knife was only produced 250 times. The blade is made from stunning damascus steel and the handle is made from ivory white G10, enhanced with a 'Crimson Red' G10 inlay. In the Benchmade factory in Portland, Oregon these Gold Class knives are made by only experts. As such the quality is unparalleled. Because it was only produced a limited amount of time this knife is only available while stocks last.

Ik heb 139/250. Het mis is heel scherp en voorzien van Damasteel Rose Damascus lemmet met een G10  handgreep. Ik ben niet de grootste liefhebber van G10 maar de creme-wit en rode G10 combinatie met de gaten komen mooi over. Boutjes en degelijke zijn verguld. De spacer heeft vergulde banen en de de kern van de vergulde duimpjes is G10 rood.

Het prettige is dat je het mes niet met de duimpjes opent en sluit maar door het mes met de axis lock te unlocken kan je het lemmet uit- en ingooien. Dat gaat zo lekker soepel (dat geldt voor veel andere Benchmades  met axis lock ook).
